Most, or maybe all, of the titles in the the Clare Malloy series by Joan Hess have dropped to £2.49 at Kindle UK, with an omnibus of the first three titles also available for £3.99. This is not a great price for old backlist (mostly 1980's - 2000's), but they are agency in the US, normally $7.99, and almost never go on sale, so YMMV.

Link has some strays, and the omnibus is right at the end of the second page.

My tastes run more toward traditional Golden Age type mysteries but for the more hard-boiled among you I just got an email about a pulp fiction deal from Humble Bundle.

The collection is Pulp Fiction by Hard Case Crime. There are 31 titles if you buy at the highest tier of $15 or more -- looks like 20 ebooks (EPUB or PDF) and 11 comics (EPUB, PDF, or CBZ). No DRM, so conversion to MOBI should be pretty easy.

I love The Big Sleep! I had to read the book three times before I was able to follow what is going on, but what a pleasure to read. Chandler is one of my favorite writers.

A few recent 87th Precinct price drops to $0.99. Not sure if any/many are the same as last month, and I'm slammed at work and don't have time to cross-check. The link picks up the $0.99 drops, and also a bunch of McBain titles that are longer term at $1.99.
Thanks for that. I'm picking up the 87th Precinct books as they go on sale for $1.99 or less. I've bought the first three so far. I may pick up 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 since they're only $0.99 each.

Incidentally, book 10, King's Ransom, was adapted by Japanese director Akira Kurosawa as the excellent film High and Low.

The Raptor Zone (Miss Pink Book 12)by Gwen Moffat

On the foggy coast of Oregon, where the precipitous mountains drop into the Pacific, the tiny community of Sundown perches between a wild ocean and a wilder hinterland.

When Miss Pink arrives in Sundown, she finds a volatile situation, barely contained by good manners. And some people have decided to take matters into their own hands. Raptors have begun to operate in the canyons between Cape Deception and Fin Whale Head, and not all of them are feathered.

Books 2-6 in the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs are on sale for 99p each in the Amazon UK deal of the day today.

While sharing the same name as the lead of the Bones TV show, the books are not actually connected to the TV series in anything other than the vaguest sense.

I haven't read King's Ransom yet, but High and Low was fantastic.

Incidentally, there was also an 87th Precinct TV series in 1961 and King's Ransom was adapted as one of the episodes.
