I just woke up from a hardcore nap (after I ate all that and had a drink, are you surprised?) and I had some weird dreams. One reoccurring one where we move back into our old house, which always drives me crazy.

Ohhhh .... ok (zips lips).

That's the hard thing about rolling into Phoenix at midnight after a long day, and finding out that freeway maintenance has closed off half of the exits. It tends to make a person just get off the road where ever they can actually get off the damn road!!

About to cook a very simple meal. Flapjacks and Honey, with Fresh oranges for after (choice of 3 different kinds.)

Spent the day writing a Red post, digging holes in the heavy clay soil around here, move 20 Kilo bags of compost and moving 10 kilo concrete blocks. More of the same tommorrow and Monday, plus planting roses in the holes.

No, I'll be flying solo (first time in a few years I've gone away and left him at home - normally, like every three months, it's the other way 'round). Thiis might explain why I use the word "jumping" rather than some more salacious substitute in my post.

The Golden Mile is Oxford Street, from where it starts at Hyde Park up to approximately Taylor Square. The Golden Mile is the gay capital of the gay capital of Oz, and last night had one of the highest concentrations of people of any event/place in Oz:

We're looking at a tropical cyclone tracking down the coast. We could be getting a spot of rain over the next few days.

I had to double check who'd posted that for a second - given Hyde Park and Oxford Street are both in London, England, and Surrey Hills (UK version) is just down the road from me.

And then I went and read the post properly and it all made more sense and I felt a bit of a berk.

So I should probably not have posted this

Whoa, there's a Hyde Park in Oz? You better be bringing him home some good presents for leaving him at home while you're having fun

Ricky, I can appreciate that a) now is not a good time to sell a house and b) you probably don't want to leave while you've still got an active suit against the Evil Developer, but I really hope you get to move to friendlier territory soon.

(I really don't have much hope of getting you to move up here, I'm sure. Maybe if we hadn't just had that ice storm.... )

You never know. I've looked at real estate in New Hampshire, Vermont, New Mexico, Georgia .....

The big point for me is having good high speed internet access ... and enough room for my furry children.

Other than that .... weather doesn't really bother me one way or the other. I do well in blistering heat and freezing cold.

In NH we have good internet access... or affordable housing. Not usually both at the same time.

Y'know, the idea of the Evil Developer crippled, deformed, and having mothers snatch their children away saying "Dear God, what is that THING" is kinda appealing....

Wait, doesn't that already happen?

He's only crippled and deformed on the inside. He's your basic type guy on the outside ... not particularly good looking .... looks too much like "W" Bush.
