Curious, what's the batch number?

It's the third group of alphanumeric characters in the serial number.
G000 T611 9xxx xxxx

The first 3 groups of the S/N on mine are G000 PP11 9077 and I've got the same issue, it came from the box with 5.10.1.3.

EDIT: It's an 8GB with special offers, also. Forgot that.

Thanks for the detail. Looks like a pretty recent manufacturing date (02/16/2019).

07: week number (02/10-02/16)
7: day of the week

I do wonder what the cut off date was for 5.10.0.2.

I managed to get a slightly earlier one (9036), 8GB, Special Offers, and it's the same thing, version 5.10.1.3.

I managed to buy a 32GB PW4 w/Spec offers from Amazon.de on 12 April 2019 and luckily received SW 5.10.0.2, G000 T610 8452 xxxx:
8452 (11/05/2018): 5.10.0.2

Hmm. I might have a factory image for 5.10.1.3. Just finished extraction so haven't installed the factory firmware nor tested if jailbreak still works. Let's pray this works.


EDIT: Eureka! It works!

Won't have time to upload the firmware until much later tonight (US Pacific). Those with PW4 running 5.10.1.3 or older (tested on factory but OTA update is probably ok, too), PM me for the link if you're willing to use your PW4 as guinea pig.

Convinced me to register

I bought my Paperwhite 4 / 8GB / Wi-Fi only / No SO roughly two to three weeks back, from Amazon.de, it shipped with 5.10.1.3 and I immediately created the update blocking folder and kept it in airplane mode (registered it though). Been following this thread ever since, as I'm interested in owning my own devices.

Serial number begins with G000 PP11 9051, right in the middle of the two others.

I'd love to be a guinea pig
