@Koval, can you make a generate cover from existing files? There are instances where I update an epub, azw3, mobi, etc (which have new covers) and I want the new metadata to update the cover from the new file. Also, can you add a "View" button in the "Edit Metadata" window. I guess this will be useful for when I add multiple files and want to see how they are before I commit the changes. Or rather, can you make clicking the View, Edit book, and any other buttons clickable with the "Edit Metadata" window open? Thanks. Last edited by moredrowsy; 04-16-2019 at 07:32 PM. |

You can just drag and drop any valid cover format into the MDE, Details pane or Info window.

The preview would be whatever you OS offers for images. The advantage of the MDE way, is you can Abort (cancel) the edit |

You could View and Edit format files (there's a button for each), by opening a CalibreSpy window for the current library - Calibre Spy can be run from the command line via calibre-debug. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 04-16-2019 at 08:18 PM. |

Thanks. I didn't even notice the button near the format selection.
