No, Audible has no limit to the number of downloads. They have a theoretical limit on how many devices that the same book can actively reside on (no limit on side loaded audiobooks). Not a problem - you just delete it off a device that you aren't using it on. I have not run into this limit since shortly after the Echo was introduced, although it simply could be that I'm downloading to fewer devices since I started to use the Echo.

There is no download limit that I'm aware of (and I'd likely have hit it by now, if there were.) There is a limit on the number of currently registered devices other than mobile devices, and every build of Windows is a new device. This can be a major problem if you're in one of the Windows "build of the week" scenarios. However, Audible Support is quite willing and efficient at resetting this limit, though it usually requires a call rather than a simple web chat.

My recommendation is to always download a copy, preferably in .aax format (Audio Quality: Enhanced), and if you can, convert it to mp3 or m4b to store it for archival purposes, just in case. Then download to your preferred listening device whenever you're ready to listen to it.

Is there a way to easily download? They're demanding I "register my computer" by signing in for EVERY SINGLE TITLE. What a PITA!!! No wonder people don't do this.

The publisher is somehow connected with a company called "Blink Book." I gather, from little bits and pieces here and there, that it is either a Serbian or Indian company, or both (it doesn't matter to me, it just helps to explain some things).

Blink Book has a "library of free book summaries in every genre including fiction, self help, business, sci-fi and children’s" (emphasis mine, G). They also "give detailed book summary[sic] and not just book review[sic] for readers and audio books in short [sic--an Indian/English idiom?] for non-readers!"

This library appears to be available only through an app. You can get the app at Google Play here. I know nothing, from experience, about the app (due to the fact that I can't install it (not enough memory. arrrghhh!)). However, it has a respectable 4.2 rating at Google Play.

Since tubemonkey made the post about the As a Man Thinketh audiobook, don't you think that it is only fair that he review this app, also?

ADDENDUM: I saw that there is a "Pro" version (rated 4.7) of the app. The app is $1.49; I happened to have a $1.00 credit with Google Play. I decided to be wanton and wild, and spend the 49 cents to buy the Pro version. I've still got the problem of where to get 2 or 3 hundred more MB of memory out of my smartphone, in order to install the app . . . .

Several options to free up space: (1) clear the cache in your apps; (2) delete some of the files in your apps (songs, books, videos, etc); (3) if your phone has an mSD slot, move installed apps to the card (not all apps have this capability; (4) uninstall apps you're not using; (5) get a new phone with larger storage capacity.

Thanks. I had the same issue with my previous phone. I squeezed out some storage by following some of the suggestions that you gave above. Ultimately I had to buy a card, and that worked out okay. I'm going to install a card this time, too, and see if that will work out.

Smartphones just don't seem to come with enough internal memory, at least the smartphones that I "can afford". A big part of the problem is the--to put it nicely--"bloatware" that's pre-installed. And the companies give warnings about all of the dire consequences that could occur if a person uninstalls the stuff--a person never knows which, if any, of the warnings are true.

Maybe BlinkBook is one of the apps which can be put on a card. I'm anxious to see if the app has some good audiobooks and ebooks, as the ratings suggest. I was just kidding about you doing a review of it--that was the reason that I put the .
