solved the problem:
on firmware 3.4.2 start chroot firmware 2.5.8, install the service update and then register the Kindle. Reboot, after on 3.4.2. buying book in store worked.

maybe there is a simpler solution, I don’t know.

I have mine also in firmware 3.4.2 now, but mine unable to buy books from the Kindle. Other facilities working nearly as it intended. I have the Kindle Service Update also installed. Is anyone could confirm that they are able to buy books directly from Kindle with unofficial firmware 3.4.2?

no problems updating on 3.4.3 (dxg), only local patching libwebkitgtk.

Hi
does the webkit help when the SSL/TLS is not supported on most sites? I'm still happy with 3.4.2, but web was not used since two years or so as most produce only errors (SSL/TLS Version).

P.S.: Yes Book buying and selecting in V3.4.2. works as it should. Receiving Books via Mail as well

Free 3G in our country is limited, the Amazon website (https) is working, and Wikipedia worked before - maybe after switching to 3.4.3, maybe earlier, wikipedia has stopped working now.

But 2.5.8 + service update is the last official update?
Only works with HTTP, not HTTPS

However on principle I'd always buy via a laptop browser, never eReader, phone or Tablet and then transfer via USB (Sideload).

error when upgrade from 3.3 to 3.4
There is an error when I upgrade my dxg from 3.3 to 3.4. the output files are in the attachments.

anyone could help me?
