I am currently using Window7 Pro, isn't this 64 bit already? The other thing I tested yesterday is to split the book into 2 books. But it acts really slowly when I tried to open it in ibook. |

@suenhoho - why are you even converting it, IIRC it's not hard to read a DOCX on an iPad, at least for Latin texts - although I'm unsure about Chinese.

Trust no one to do it correctly. You can install 32 bit windows on a 64 bit machine. Go to Properties on the My Computer Icon. (This one, you are probably stuck with. A upgrade would be a full OS install) Same goes for Calibre. Does it say [64Bit] in the version message on the bottom status bar? You have to have a 64bit OS installed to do this. |

@BetterRead - I just like the way it can go to and from via the TOC.

Some Android DOCX viewer apps have the equivalent of Word's Navigation panel - ToC viewer. I don't know if iOS DOCX reader apps (e.g. Pages) have that feature, but I'd be surprised if they didn't. If all else fails Word for iOS is free. Added: IMO: if you're reading on iOS or Android there is no point jumping through elaborate conversion and editing processes just so you can use a particular viewer app - its often much easier to get a different app that can read the original format.
