Angry Calibre library

I had a computer crash and had to buy a new one. I kept my calibre library backed up on an external drive which is working fine.

My question is how do I get the newly installed calibre to allow me to access this library?

If the drive is always connected: On the Library Icon: Create/Switch: USE EXISTING: <point to it>. done (I would recommend locking the drive letter using windows Disk Management, so you don't need to chase it down with a port change)

My personal preference would have been to copy the backup library back to a fixed disk and then point calibre to that location. That way, you can keep your backups on the removable drive without needing it connected permanently.

Easiest way to do this would be to exit calibre, copy the backup back to your hard drive (I prefer using a directory called Calibre in the root of my user folder and place the library directories inside that), disconnecting the external drive, starting calibre and pointing it to the new library location.
