I had bought this eReader long back, used it for a while and it was kept gathering dust. I want to go back to using it but it seems dead. Doesnt do anything when I press power. @davidfor, could you please send me an image?

Sorry, I don't have anything for the original Kobo. This thread is talking about the Kobo WiFi, which is the second device that Kobo released. There is a thread in the main section of the Kobo forum talking about recovering the original Kobo. You might be able to get some help there.

Which Kobo WiFi do you have, N647, N647B, or 289? Once we know that we can send you the correct file so you can write the image file onto the internal SD card.
