Now I can't decide whether to quote Inigo's response from the book, or the movie. Normally I always go with the book, but in this case, I rather like his delivery in the movie....

I've been laid off today, no notice, no severance after 13 months there. 7 out of 32 of us have had the bad news. The company's lost 70% of their contracts. But they say I'm on their callback list... yeah!

You know what it means?

BTW Maple sap hasn't started to run yet, it's a little late. They're anticipating a price around 18$ a liter. That's almost twice as last year.

Well, that's pretty shitty (the "laid off" bit; not the "stuck with" us bit

). If you wish us to get together - DixieGal, badgoodDeb, the PNS Empire, Adrian - and come down on top of the bastiches in an earth-scorching conflagration from the skies (with some Stooge ear-twisting and eye-poking and prat-fall thrown in for Giggles), just say the word. Alternatively, we can all just be a pleasant distraction and alluring addiction instead. Probably easier that way - the PNS can never scorch just part of a planet.
