I reported my first spam at this thread.

Was I correct in doing this, or was this not spam?

Sure looks like SPAM to me! I know there's a lot of talk on these forums about cracking DRM, they don't really allow instructions on how to do it.

I think you'll see this post disappear soon.

, there were similar spam posts yesterday.

I think the fact it is the posters first (and probably only) post, and that it's nothing to do with mobile reading, are reasonable indications it's spam.

I don't normally see very much spam; but there has been a flurry of these 'DVD ripper' spam messages in the past couple of days.

Likely the same spammer with a different name. Maybe it is one of the Pirate Bayer's looking for a new niche?

I've also reported several messages as spam these last few days.
Some of them included a message containing random text in order to place ad links in the sig ...

Yes, you reported it correctly and the spam message was deleted. However, we don't usually delete the thread if there are replies on it. That is why the thread is still there and just the first message is gone now.

Thanks for your report. Please report anything you think is SPAM and we (the moderators) will sort it out. Most of it is deleted minutes of someone reporting it.
