Listening to an audiobook before heading to bed, this will help me get a good night sleep and gain new knowledge at the same time. |

Sitting in the library (which, IMO, is the best public libary in the state) waiting for my wife to make her book selections. She has been using the library a lot more since we moved back here and I could not be happier about it.

I'm at my hotel apartment in a vacation park, where I'll be staying for a week. I've unpacked, went to the supermarket, had dinner and figured out how screen mirroring works (so I can put on Netflix on my laptop and stream it to the bigger TV). I'm now going to take a shower, then light a fire in the fireplace and then relax the rest of the night. The apartment complex is across the road from the center with all the facilities. Although the weather is probably going to be fairly well, except for two rainy days, that's nice. I look out on some trees and a road behind it. But the park is car-free (except on Monday and Friday mornings and afternoons) and I don't think it's very busy this week. |

Watching 'Salems Lot (the first version) and tending to a fire in the fireplace. Keeping a fire going is always more work than I remember.

Why, why, why does my brain have a permanent hard wiring to the WRONG connection? Every time somebody mentions David Soul (who I don't know) I think of Illya Kuryakin (whom I also never was allowed to watch, but still had a crush on). The actor's name was David McCallum .... and his onscreen partner's last name was Solo. So, there's no connection to the name above, except that this "David" and his partner's character name "Solo" *always* make me go look up Kuryakin to find out that yeah, I was wrong to think of them. Sheesh! |
