If I, or someone, is a self-proclaimed "Ebook Buying Addict", wouldn't my link to a daily free ebook by 'PacktPub free-learning' be a "Support Thread" by providing a way to save money but still have a resource?

Who, exactly are you, to censor this information and a free ebook link?

As has been stated many times in this thread, it is less about the cost of the books we buy, than the _need_ to buy them. And even free has costs associated with them, plus it's still feeding the habit. Others have requested that links to offers or deals not be posted in this thread, and issybird was simply following that request.

I do like a bargain. Too much.

Four items on my wishlist at uk.ereaderiq.com have come up this month. All books that I've now either read, or will read next, but it has made my January purchases a bit more than I'd expected.

I started downsizing on ereaders last year, but I probably still have you all beat on numbers. I'm just as bad on Ipods and Echo/Echo Dots.

January is always a fall out for me. Other than the Storybundles and one audio, I've been quite firm to limit purchases to books/audiobooks that are in the series I am focused on this year. I stopped even looking at the Baen Bundles, so that's helping (I must have close to 80 of those still to read or toss). I should just delete the Storybundle email when it comes, but I have that psychological hold that I will miss out on a good collection.

I've decided to keep track of any ebooks I discard from my TBR. Just to help keep my accounts honest this year.

One discarded so far. It was part of a monthly Baen bundle, and I'm not interested in it.

I only have 2 devices that I read on - my KA2 and my Kobo Mini. I kept the mini because it fits anywhere. I have owned 5 devices other than those two. When I get a new primary reader, I will wipe my old one, load it up with a ton of PD books, and donate it to my local kids/teenagers hospital. No need for me to have piles and piles of readers I don't use.

Those readers get to live on that way

I use three devices for e-reading: MY Kobo H2O2 for almost everything, and either my Huawei M3 8.3 or my PC for PDFs that need colur and larger screens. I have never kept old e-readers, but I did convert my 85 yo Dad to e-reading my giving him my PW2 when I got my Clara HD (which I sold to defray tyhe cost of getting my H2O2)

My apologies. I, ignorantly didn't realize this was an issue and came into the post thinking it was tongue-in-cheek.
Very insensitive of me and I apologize.

You are welcome to post good deals in the Deals Forum. It's just that we're trying to keep this a temptation-free zone. No point in handing out drinks coupons at the AA meeting!

Some of us hard-core, if not addicts, over-buyers, have found this thread very helpful indeed in getting a handle on our compulsion, or whatever you'd like to call it.
