A couple of titles in the Blotto & Twinks series by Simon Brett have dropped to $3.99, which is the upper edge of where I post, but this is a fun series IMO (somewhere upthread I likened it to Rhys Bowen's Lady Georgie series with some PG Wodehouse mixed in) and, with the exception of the first-in-series, titles in this series don't seem to drop below $3.99 much. So, here you go:

Blotto, Twinks and Riddle of the Sphinx, #5
Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/Blotto-Twinks...dp/B00OGUPD9S/
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/blo...f-the-sphinx-3

Blotto, Twinks and the Heir to the Tsar, #6
Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/Blotto-Twinks...dp/B00TE8KA68/
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/blo...-to-the-tsar-1

In addition, if you missed the first title when it was on sale for $0.99 a while ago and you would like to give the series a try, it is still only $2.99, which is not too bad.

Blotto, Twinks and the Ex-King's Daughter, #1
Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/Blotto-Twinks...dp/B00OGV2JK8/
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/blo...g-s-daughter-4

Finally, the second title in the series has been at $3.99 for most of 2018.

Blotto, Twinks and the Dead Dowager Duchess, #2
Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/Blotto-Twinks...dp/B00OGV2JHG/
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/blo...ager-duchess-4

Note: Be careful of multiple editions - some or all of these have two versions, only one of which is at these prices...

The Mystery of Three Quarters is the most recent (2018) in the Christie-family-authorized continuation of the Hercule Poirot series by Sophie Hannah. It has dropped to $1.99 at Kindle US. I've read and enjoyed the first of Hannah's continuation titles, so happy to see this one drop in price.

link: https://www.amazon.com/Mystery-Three...dp/B0756DWP21/

Spoiler:
Quote:
The world’s most beloved detective, Hercule Poirot—the legendary star of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and most recently The Monogram Murders and Closed Casket—returns in a stylish, diabolically clever mystery set in the London of 1930.

“We Agatha Christie fans read her stories--and particularly her Poirot novels--because the mysteries are invariably equal parts charming and ingenious, dark and quirky and utterly engaging. Sophie Hannah had a massive challenge in reviving the beloved Poirot, and she met it with heart and no small amount of little grey cells. I was thrilled to see the Belgian detective in such very, very good hands. Reading The Monogram Murders was like returning to a favorite room of a long-lost home.”
— Gillian Flynn, author of Gone Girl

Hercule Poirot returns home after an agreeable luncheon to find an angry woman waiting to berate him outside his front door. Her name is Sylvia Rule, and she demands to know why Poirot has accused her of the murder of Barnabas Pandy, a man she has neither heard of nor ever met. She is furious to be so accused, and deeply shocked. Poirot is equally shocked, because he too has never heard of any Barnabas Pandy, and he certainly did not send the letter in question. He cannot convince Sylvia Rule of his innocence, however, and she marches away in a rage.

Shaken, Poirot goes inside, only to find that he has a visitor waiting for him — a man called John McCrodden who also claims also to have received a letter from Poirot that morning, accusing him of the murder of Barnabas Pandy...

Poirot wonders how many more letters of this sort have been sent in his name. Who sent them, and why? More importantly, who is Barnabas Pandy, is he dead, and, if so, was he murdered? And can Poirot find out the answers without putting more lives in danger?

Free right now (not $0.99) at Kindle US. Probably not for very long, so grab it if you want it.

Rebecca Schwartz Complete Set: Five Funny Cozy Mysteries is what it says it is - an omnibus of the five titles in Smith's Schwartz series. I've read and enjoyed all of them back in DTB days.

BTW, the $0.99 price is a US Kindle Countdown deal for about 19 more hours.

Titles are:
  • Death Turns a Trick
  • The Sourdough Wars
  • Tourist Trap
  • Dead in the Water
  • Other People's Skeletons

Crooked House (Kindle Edition) by Agatha Christie - $1.99 Amazon US

Quote:
“Writing Crooked House was pure pleasure and I feel justified in my belief that it is one of my best.” --Agatha Christie
Described by the queen of mystery herself as one of her favorites of her published work, Crooked House is a classic Agatha Christie thriller revolving around a devastating family mystery.
A lot of her books seem to be on sale... just click on her name at Amazon.

Let Us Prey is the fifteenth in the Keith Calder series by Gerald Hammond. Titles from this series have been going free briefly from time to time, and now this one is free at Kindle US.

link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KCFTYP6

Spoiler:
Quote:
In Ladyhill Woods Jim Broxburn, the keeper, has been found dead.

If, as it appears, he accidentally jabbed himself while preparing bait for birds of prey, it could mean serious trouble for Alec Deeley, the owner of the land and chairman of the local shooting syndicate. But Broxburn was a law-abiding man, with a deep concern for all wildlife.

It is solicitor Ralph Enterkin’s task to clear Deeley’s name and resolve the uncertainty surrounding the accident. As his investigations continue Enterkin, with the help of his wife and gunsports expert Keith Calder, reveals that Broxburn was on to something, and was silenced before he could take action. But Enterkin and his associates take over where the keeper was forced to leave off, unmasking a cruel and illegal scheme run at the expense of the local landowners and wildlife alike.

Once again Gerald Hammond has combined his formidable knowledge of country lore with skilful plotting to provide us with a thoroughly entertaining read.

If you need (and want ) all of the first ten titles in the Roy Grace series by Diamond Dagger award winner Peter James, you may be interested in this omnibus, which has dropped to $18.14 at Kindle US. That works out to $1.81 each, which is a pretty good price. Sadly, though, if you have even a few of the titles (as I do), then the price pretty quickly becomes not-so-hot. Sigh!

Anyway, here's the info (list of titles is in the blurb):

Roy Grace Ebook Bundle: Books 1-10

link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018IFCACY

Spoiler:
Quote:
The first ten novels of Peter James' enormously popular, multi-award-winning crime series featuring Detective Superintendent Roy Grace are collected together in this ebook bundle.

These ten bestselling titles follow Brighton's best police detective as he investigates missing persons, terrible murders, copycat killers, and races against the clock to catch dangerous criminals before they strike again.

Peter James' Roy Grace Ebook Bundle: Books 1-10 contains the following gripping novels from the Roy Grace series:
  • Dead Simple
  • Looking Good Dead
  • Not Dead Enough
  • Dead Man's Footsteps
  • Dead Tomorrow
  • Dead Like You
  • Dead Man's Grip
  • Not Dead Yet
  • Dead Man's Time
  • Want You Dead

The Lady From Zagreb is the 10th in the Bernie Gunther series by Philip Kerr. It has dropped to £0.99 at Kindle UK.

link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lady-Zagreb...dp/B00T4HUVLI/

Spoiler:
Quote:
Summer 1942. When Bernie Gunther is ordered to speak at an international police conference, an old acquaintance has a favour to ask. Little does Bernie suspect what this simple surveillance task will provoke . . .

One year later, resurfacing from the hell of the Eastern Front, a superior gives him another task that seems straightforward: locating the father of Dalia Dresner, the rising star of German cinema. Bernie accepts the job. Not that he has much choice - the superior is Goebbels himself.

But Dresner's father hails from Yugoslavia, a country so riven by sectarian horrors that even Bernie's stomach is turned. Yet even with monsters at home and abroad, one thing alone drives him on from Berlin to Zagreb to Zurich: Bernie Gunther has fallen in love.

Six Agatha Christie books are on offer at Amazon UK for £0.99 each, today only.

Note that The Witness for the Prosecution and Other Stories is originally a USA collection, and the stories in it appear in the three UK collections The Hound of Death, The Listerdale Mystery and Problem at Pollensa Bay. (Along with many others, of course. The publication history of her short stories is complex!)
