Hello, my name is Sweetpea, and I'm addicted to MobileRead. I must also admit I'm addicted to reading, though I've not opened a book in a long time. I did have to put my book away last night as the battery warning light was flashing very often. I think I need to go to MobileRead less often, as it confuses me to which device I should buy. I did have a clear idea until I found this site. The site also is fuelling my desire to read, even when I don't have the time. |

I think, I think, therefore I must be, aren't I. This addiction, is there a known cure available, or do I need to appeal to a higher plane? Life was never dull before MR, now it's even less so - is there a confession box in the llloungeee? |

Yup, addicted to MR. Nope, not even trying to break the addiction. Yup, posting at work when I should be working. There was, but I've turned it into a drinks and chocolate dispenser as it seemed a better use for it, given the location... |

Hi, I´m ravenne and I´m addicted to MobileRead, I´m addicted to reading and I´m very addicted to GrandmaAnonyma´s polls. Every time I try to fight my addiction (by eating chocolate or hunting squirrels) GrandmaAnonyma starts a new poll that makes me come back and post again. I simply cannot resist.

Hi, I'm DixieGal, and I'm a MobileReadAholic. (Hi DixieGal) I first came here for help with a new device. It was the soft stuff, an EBW1150, cheap and easy to use. I soon found myself using it more and more, and quickly I began using every day. Nobody told me it was a gateway device. (gateway, not Gateway Computers) Soon, I wasn't just buying from my dealer (eBookwise), but I was buying it wherever I could find it. I was even reformatting my stash when it wasn't doing the job for me. Eventually, my EBW1150 was no longer able to satisfy my craving. I began downloading directly, the hard stuff, PDF's to my PC. PDF's are considered hard to format by almost everyone, but I was doing it. I could strip the restrictions and DRM in 3 minutes flat, then jack it into my device. The euphoria was powerful, and I wanted more. Then, one day last fall at a picnic meetup at a state park, I was introduced to the Sony 505. It felt good and looked good, with its bright gray screen and large fonts. I was hesitant at first, worried about spending more money on my habit. My co-dependent spouse finally got it for me at Christmas. Now I'm using more than ever before. The things I had before are all gone. (Clean house, free time, shelves of pbooks, etc, all gone gone gone.) and I don't have my old life anymore. I have it with me all the time, even at work. Help me before I hit rock bottom and get fired for always either reading or MRing. Thanking you in advance. |

My name is KrisK and I am only here because the dog threatened she would leave. I don't know what her issue is. I can quit anytime I want to.

hi, my name is zelda and i really don't know what i'm doing here. a bunch of "friends" hit me on the head and dragged me in here claiming it was an intervention but that was a totally unjustified overreaction on their part. i don't have a problem. i can quit when i want to. now quit making snide remarks about my postcount.
