It's cold, 4C, today. Two weeks ago it was over 15C, a week ago it was around 10C. The drop in temperature is too quick, there's been no time to get used to the dropping temperatures, making it feel extra cold.

Cold,dry and cloudy.As opposed to yesterday when it froze,following snow,and was also cloudy.Roll on spring!

We had a tornado warning earlier this evening. No touchdowns though so everyone is okay, the northern part of the state is under a blizzard warning. Where I'm at is safe. We may get flurries.

We had a pile of snow today (~6" at my area; less in the city of Chicago) before the Dec 1 parking ban on major streets. So they'll only be able to plow the center of the streets, instead of the whole street. Fun times!

High temperature for the day was in the mid-fifties (F), with light to moderate rain all day long. But the ground is completely saturated, so a light rain was all we needed for local flooding.

For those suffering under a misapprehension, snow is not beautiful, ever. Not even on Christmas Eve.
