No, the Mark 7 link was the only one that ever worked. The other links were automatically generated by a tool and not checked before they were posted.

Well, I had a lesser freezing last night: instead of everything blocked, and difficulties turning off and on the Forma, just the buttons were inactive, the screen was ok (tap or swipe). Everything back to normal after turning off/on easily.

Hello everyone, I'm having with this firmware and that before (4.11.11980, I think) a bug in wich putting in landscape the kobo forma with automatic rotation each touch on the screen is interpretated as touched 3/5 cm on the left. Locking to landscape 2/5 times solves this. I've also written this in the kobo bug thread. Enyone is having this bug?

I haven't seen this particular bug yet but since installing 4.11.12019 I have had my Forma go to sleep on me about 60 seconds after waking it up to read. I have it set to 10 minutes before it should go to sleep. Has only happened twice so far but if this continues I might go back to 4.11.11980 which I had no problems with.

Did a bit of testing and think my issue could be book related as page numbers are not updated as I go to next page so definitely something not right with this Kobo purchased book.

What kind of information are you looking for? It is book 7 in Hugh Howey's Wool series (Second Shift - Order).

And the issue with the page numbers not advancing happens with this book on my KA1 as well, it is still running 4.10.11655 so the issue is with the book but at least the KA1 doesn't go to sleep 60 seconds after opening the book, at least not in the limited testing I have done.

I have that, and have just had a look at it. I assume you are using the "Entire book" progress. With the "Current chapter" progress, the page process works fine. But, for entire book progress, I have to turn a lot of pages before the page number changes. I've checked a couple of other kepubs, and the page progress for them is as expected. It is going to be something in this book causing the page number problem. I'm going to have a look at that later.

I have tried this on a couple of my devices which are running 4.11.11980 or later firmware. They are all sleeping after the correct time rather than a minute. I'll try the Forma when I can get it from my wife, but she uses her own account, so doesn't have this book. I'll try sideloading the kepub and see what happens.

Yes I have "Entire book" progress selected, I have to page forward about 20 pages before the page number will increment by one page. If I exit the book by going back to home or books page and then reopen the book the correct page number displays, though it does take a 2-3 seconds to show the page info and paging forward again won't update the page I am on.

On the Forma I use the buttons to turn the page, and I usually wake the device by pushing the button, though I did finally break down and buy the overpriced cover for it so have started waking it with the cover now as well.

I have not been able to reproduce the issue of it going to sleep in 60 seconds after it happened the second time so I don't know what specific set of steps caused this to happen. Considering that this book definitely has issues I am just going to consider this a book problem unless I see it happen in another book at some point.

My two readers (Kobo Aura H2O 2nd Edition, Version 1 and Kobo Aura H2O 1st Edition) work very well with the new firmware. So far I could not find any problems.

I had a look at the book. It contains a single internal file. It has what looks like two levels of chapters, but, both have h1 tags.

The time taken to display the page number when the book is opened is because the book is one file. The file has to be parsed to calculate the page number. The bigger the file, the longer it takes.

The page number updating properly is related to this. I have a test book create in a similar way that has similar problems. There are problem with the page number progress when a kepub does not have a strict one-to-one relationship between the ToC entries and files. Kobo's kepub standard implies this is the way the books should be constructed, but doesn't actually make it mandatory. I can't work out with this book what triggers the actual page update.

Probably a reasonable thing as it can be hard to look at problems when they cannot be reproduced.

Maybe I should have waited to see if updates were on the way but I was so freaked out by my Forma's constant freezing and button craziness that I returned it. I'm in the US and fortunately I'd ordered mine from Walmart and could return it locally.

I loved almost everything else about the Forma, and this update sounds encouraging, so I've taken the plunge and ordered the 32 GB version direct from Kobo. Fingers crossed I get one with good lighting (I don't mind the stripe but the light gradient was quite noticeable on the one I had).

The beta members on here make sure the dev's are aware of any significant bugs reported, but I'd strongly suggest reporting it Kobo customer service. The dev's don't necessarily have full control of priorities of what get fixed when, and more customer complaints about something (a bug or a feature you'd like added or changed) the higher the priority it will likely be.
