I'll probably get it at the library anyway. I'm getting Small Favor there (when I get to it)

I'm reading "His Lady Mistress" by Elizabeth Boyle. I read the second in the series first, and enjoyed it, but this one (the first) is a little unbelievable. We'll see how it goes.

I'm on a Nick Hornby kick. Finished "High Fidelity" (which was a decent 90's movie too) and now reading "A Long Way Down", a fairly recent novel of his.

Well, I am about 3/4 of the way through Murder List and it has been more fluff than stuff. I expected more of either a thriller or a mystery. It seems more like pulp and/or borderline romance. I keep waiting for the sex scene between Regan and Alec to "pop up".

I will finish it though. But, just because a book is free doesn't mean I will like it.

It does have a great line about why women are like potato chips that I will be using some day myself.

I'm reading Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle. A surprising gap in my SF education

A Hugo Award winning book as Best Sci-Fi Novel for its year. A great novel, but then I enjoy most of Philip K. Dick's work.

Yeah, it's one of those books whose reputation is still intact after 40 years. Looking forward to getting into it.

Currently reading Tokyo Zero by Marc Horne. Fun read, pacy and it's free on Feedbooks and most of the other regular places.

I posted a link here to the download:

Next up my scanned, converted to ePub version of James M Cain's - Double Indemnity.

Have you read other Jane Austens? I really like Emma, but my favourite is Persuasion. It's her most sensual book of all she's written.

Jane Austen must be in fashion, I downloaded a bunch of hers from Gutenburg and am re-reading Pride and Prejudice.

Also got Bronte's Wuthering Heights.

No, just Pride and Prejudice so far. They're all on my to-read list though.
