Target is having a 15% off everything sale on Cyber Monday (26 Nov). If they do what they did last year, then most of Amazon's devices will still be selling at BF pricing plus the 15% off. Dot 3 $24 - 15% = $20.40. Then take another 5% off for RedCard holders.

Got the new tablet in the mail today. Sadly, the case I ordered won't be here until the 30th according to tracking.

At least Walmart has already mailed it. Amazon's free shipping (not prime) they are waiting until the last day they can mail something before actually doing so. Par for the course I guess.

Beware Best Buy. They have a habit of adding $0.99 to their sale items. All of the other stores are selling the Dot 3 for $24. Not so Best Buy, they're selling it for $24.99. That's always been a pet peeve of mine.

Edit: if you shop at Kohl's, they're selling the Dot 3 for $24 and you can get 15% off your entire order (one-time use only), plus $15 in Kohl's Cash for every $50 spent. Check the Kohl's BF post for details.

Thanks for the tip - my wife has that 15% offer so we'll probably get one there.

Unless something dramatic arises in the next couple days, this is, for build your own PC people, the worst Thanksgiving week in thirty years.

Twenty-five years ago, you could get most of the parts to build a PC for free after rebate, including the case, the CD drive, the memory sticks (always a rare find, but I got them at least once), the modem, the sound card, the mouse, the keyboard, the floppy drive, the speakers, the headphone (probably with speech recognition software), the tool kit, and little parts I'm forgetting about. Maybe a video card, although, not being a gamer, I usually don't bother with one. I can't remember if power supplies were free after rebate, but I think that bad ones sometimes came inside the case. All you couldn't get for free was the hard drive, the processor, and legitimate Microsoft software.

Last year was the worst before this year, but at least I picked up a bunch of interior and exterior cables that did come in handy when I put together an updated PC for my wife Barbara this past weekend. Plus, last November, I got the usually available year-old update for Dragon Naturally Speaking, with headphone and microphone.



I'm not saying I deserve to get stuff for free, but it was nice while it lasted.

The Kohls ad is a bit unclear as to what products go on sale early - if I'm reading it correctly, the Dot3 should be available for $24 on line at 1:10AM ET on Thursday?
