Wasn't as bad as it might have been this morning. We got chits to go to the caff in Building 9, where I was able to trade said chit for a quite good double espresso. THAT got the day off to a good start. But sadly, no such to be had, tomorrow. So I'll have to settle for the muddy water they call coffee in this hotel. (The Silver Cloud has many virtues, not the least of which is its proximity to the Microsoft Campus, but the coffee is not one of those virtues. )

Frosty the Stout Man. A white stout from the local nano-brewery. I close my eyes and it feels and tastes like a traditional stout, but it looks just like a cream ale. It's trippy. Had to bring 32 ounces home with me.

Yech! Shoveling? That _so_ doesn't sound like fun. We're actually having a lovely late fall spell, with a break from the usual wet. It's bright and sunny, with a high today of 10C (50F).
