I just clicked over and it shows as $8.49 for me, which is still a discount from the Kindle list price of $9.99.

But, I was really hoping to spend a nickel.

Sandman Slim shows as no longer available for purchase. Anyone else see this?

Not really sure it's my kind of book anyway, but still, it's odd.

Yes, I see it too. It says quality issues reported. The publisher has been notified to correct it.

Bought Sandman Slim and took a chance on another book that's not my usual style:

I bought Sandman Slim also thinking it sounded interesting even though it is not my usual read. I loved it and bought the others and am finishing up the last one now.

re Sandman Slim: Ok, that's interesting. I got the copy earlier, cuz I'd heard about it. But recent comments made me lose interest in it. Now you've got me willing to try it again! I do read Lincoln Rhyme stories, which are pretty gruesome. I guess I'd better give this a try.

I did not really find it gruesome. He does not go into to minute details when describing violence and mayhem. I do love the humor in his books.

I don't mind gruesome. Horror is my favorite genre. I'm just not a fan of urban fantasy where everybody is a hipster magic user. I'm also not fond of series. But hey, I'll try Sandman Slim.

For those who are following the SyFy series, the first volume is on offer both on Amazon and Kobo, down to $1.99. Also the rest of the series was on offer not so long ago, so I have completed it, cheaply. If you haven't, then I believe it is only a matter of time before they come down again.
