I've only got two codes left so I'm not in a huge rush. I'll ptobably use them this weekend.

On a different subject, one of my current favorite authors, Talia Hibbert, has just put out a box set of three of her books for $0.99 for the next 2 weeks. I love her writing, her couples are usually interracial and she specializes in wonderful, caretaker alpha heroes and strong heroines who are not afraid to be themselves and who come in all different sizes.

Also, Amazon is offering a $0.99 for 3 months Kindle Unlimited deal again. The offer is good through Nov. 30. I didn't take it over the summer when it was offered, but I've been on an SF Romance kick lately so I may have to reconsider.

I went through all of my books at Harlequin's site. There were a few no longer in my library there, like the freebies I got from their 60th anniversary.

It was time consuming, but I'm glad I double-checked as I found 7 freebies I had not downloaded. Actually there were more than that, but I only downloaded 7 of them

None were urgent reads, but I plan to add them to Calibre and my TBR albeit in the maybe/possibly/someday category.

In the reply email I was told I could redeem three codes a day, but I'm not chancing it and just doing two a day. Can't afford to be locked out now!

I did the same thing. Like you I have hundreds of books. So making sure I got them all. Only redeeming two codes a day so hopefully all will done before the 11th. Doesn't HQ know I have better things to do with my time then to deal with this? *sigh* To give only 13 days of notice is bad form. You would think they'd learned from the ARE fiasco to give plenty of notice.

Down to needing to redeem three codes worth of points and 378 books to check (most from the "sale").

I have over 800 books there So it took a while for me to check. (This is only books purchased at Harlequin.com, not all of their books bought elsewhere).

Thankfully I have a "source" column in my Calibre Warehouse Library where I list where my books were bought/free from. So I just created a catalogue with title and author only, copied it to Word, and printed it to cross off the titles as I went. I left them in order by date, but would have been better off sorting them by title or author as the most time consuming part was going through the books during that sale in 2011. So very many books bought on Christmas and Boxing Day.

I 100% agree they should have given more notice.

At least they finally sent out an email about it. Which is good because not everybody checks their store every month to have seen the notice. I also think it's nice that they have included the info in all of the receipts for the books I redeemed this week. But I am sure they have customers who still do not know and will be upset after the fact.

I say in 5 years all other lines will all be integrated into Avon Romance. I think Harlequin Presents will probably be the only category line possibly left by then.
HQN and Mira may or may not survive but will be handled by Avon.

I can't see Harpercollins keeping Harlequin staying separate when there have already been so much budget cuts in the company. I see those offices being closed or integrated into Avon somehow. I think we knew it was just a matter of time. Category romance just isn't as popular as it once was. My main concern is what will happen to Carina Press? Will it stay, be closed, sold off or moved into Avon Impulse? Only time will tell.

What about the Intrigues? Always thought those were pretty popular. Those are the ones I read sometimes.
