Don't get your hopes up for any new features or changes. Many of us have submitted requests via this thread for months now but the developer hasn't been involved in this thread since early April. It's a wonderful app but I think what you see is basically what you'll get for the foreseeable future. That being said, I'd love to be proven wrong.....

If you repeatedly download the same file again and again, then the app should detect them as duplicates. I have repeatedly tried to experiment with this.

As for the GUI issue, it looks like it is an accessibility issue, i.e., system font size is not the default setting. Their What's New claims that v2.1.1 has fixed it.

The files being downloaded have the same file names but they're not identical (different file size, updated at different points in time ergo different md5 sum). I was trying to test what happens when there's a filename collision and with the version I have, it looks like it just gets stuck at processing.

I've always used the default system font size. The iPad is running the latest MapleRead SE & CE versions available for iOS 10. I think newer versions might be iOS 11+ only, though.

Last week I emailed a bug report to MapleRead's support, and got a reply that the bug will be fixed as part of the next major release (v3.0) of the app soon.

Thus, you're likely to be proved wrong, unless your foreseeable future is rather short.

Tap "Sign In", and tap "Now" to the alert question, then tap "Restore Previous Purchase".

I am not getting alert question. Also the update erased my books. When I try to download books from Dropbox or caliber opds they appear in queue ...and I can open them from there..but they do not appear on my home screen. If I erase the queue the books are gone. This is on my phone SE ..iOS 12. I am goin to try a reinstall. Reinstall fixed the download to home screen issue but still no way to restore purchase.

My iPad does not give an alert question but otherwise seems to work properly. It is still on iOS 11.

Was it necessary to purchase the upgrade on a per device basis before?

Normally, if you update MapleRead CX on the SAME device, its IAP is automatically restored. However, if you install CX on a new device, or install CX after an iOS update (such as iOS 12), you may have to restore IAP manually. You'll only see the alert if you need to restore IAP manually.

The CX's "Pro Upgrade" IAP is a so-called non-consumable IAP, and thus can only be purchased once per Apple account by design. In fact, you're getting a better deal with version 3.0. When you purchased the IAP in a pre-3.0 version, CX run only on iPhone. With v3.0, you get the "Pro Upgrade" also on iPad.

Your description about the book erasure confused me a bit. You mean the books are successfully downloaded, but don't appear in the Library view? If yes, please make sure that "All Books" is the selected book set. Do you see all your books now?

Thanks for the explanation of the pro upgrade. Yes I see my books now. The problem may been with a setting because I was playing around trying to figure things out. Reinstalling fixed everything for me

Thanks so much for the update. I really like the dark mode for the library screen as well as the night themes. I have two suggestions:
1. Extend the dark mode to the metadata page. Currently the metadata page always had the classic mode themed
2. Would appreciate the search function to be able to search the metadata comments as well.

Thanks for the hard work.

The update solves so many of my problems. I haven’t been able to totally sync between my iPad and iPhone because I have too many files to download on the OPDS (mostly because it only shows 20 at a time and I don’t wanna click through thousands) but not having to delete and re-download fanfics is worth it.

Go to calibre's preferences > sharing over the net > advanced > Maximum number of books in OPDS feed > enter any number you want.
