Walmart is kicking off the celebration at 10PM ET online. In-store celebrations begin two hours before the event and last until the sale itself starts at 6PM on Thanksgiving, with Walmart planning on offering customers free cookies and coffee. That's one reason to wait in line! There are 18 deals available today from Walmart's website for the early birds out there.

Black Friday Store Maps are changing a bit this year. Using the Walmart app, from 4PM to 8PM local time, you can see a special Black Friday map of your store. Different departments will be color-coded so you can easily find the deals you need. Kmart will be open 6AM to 12PM midnight on Thanksgiving Day. Doors will open again on Black Friday from 6AM to 10PM! Last year, Kmart opened at 6PM on Thanksgiving Day, and what we assume is part of their attempt to win the holidays for 2018, they're opening a full 12 hours earlier with the 6AM opening on Thanksgiving Day. That may be very tempting for customers who want to rush out early and shop Black Friday deals before preparing for their Thanksgiving guests.

Doorbusters will run all day Thursday and Friday. They are having a cool doorbuster deal with 100% cashback in points up to $50 in points when you "make your own doorbuster!" This is valid for 4 days, Thursday through Sunday. Cashback points will be credited 11/27 and then will expire 12/3, so Kmart definitely wants you to make a quick second trip to shop their deals this season.
