Tiny Books vs Ebooks
In an amusing case of paper books imitating technology, this from the New York Times today:

This month, Dutton, which is part of Penguin Random House, began releasing its first batch of mini books, with four reissued novels by the best-selling young-adult novelist John Green. The tiny editions are the size of a cellphone and no thicker than your thumb, with paper as thin as onion skin. They can be read with one hand — the text flows horizontally, and you can flip the pages upward, like swiping a smartphone.
The books are indeed tiny and remind me of my pre-1930 hardcover editions in size. But the text direction is a whole new ballgame.

Yes you can. You have to use an addon though. My favorite is the magnifying app.

I'd prefer a trend back to pocket sized books that you read as normal, not something as asinine as a flip book that you read vertically.

There was an edition of _Minority Report_ I think it was so bound --- a bit larger though, and normal paper.

I read that version from the library. I assumed it was meant to be laid out like a detective's notebook.

Same - I'd be happy if more books came out as MMPBs instead of heavy, expensive trade paperbacks. This thing seems like a bit of a recycled novelty flash-in-the-pan.

I actually have several collections of mini books and I have to say, i do like them. By mini, I mean fit in the palm of your hand.

I remember my grandfather had a very thick red dictionary that fit in the palm of your hand and you needed an included magnifying glass to read it.
