If someone can tell me how I can link images but have smaller previews, that'd be cool.
I have no intention of buying one, but it's fun trying to keep up with his rapid Italian at 01:50 - great practice!

That HDBlog article claims it's an IR touchscreen and not a capacitive touchscreen. Can anyone confirm if you can use any object to interact with the screen? Also, the article claims 1500 mAh battery, but I'm pretty sure it's 1200 mAh.

That can hardly be true since the screen is flush with the edges. You need a bezel for the IR beams to be coming from somewhere...

Rumour has it that in Canada, it will be available in time for me to buy one for a Christmas present.

New review (again, in Italian): here

Noteworthy stuff:

- Battery confirmed to be 1200mAh; the reviewer estimates 3 weeks of battery life with 1 and a half hours of reading per day.

- About PDF: yes, the reader still uses an old processor, but reading a textbook-size PDF is much more confortable than before because the software automatically zooms and splits the page in two as soon as you turn it in landscape mode. You simply press the buttons without fiddling with the screen. That, with the 8", makes it better than the Oasis 2 (according to the reviewer; never tried one myself). See from minute 7:00 onwards in the video.

I have purchased the Kobo Forma on monday.
I returned the first Forma cause I thought the display had big problems of uniformity.
See image for yourself.

The new device has the same problem to a lesser extent.
I would not call this one of the most beautiful e-ink seen so far.

It seems another failure as they did with KA1. A 300€ gadget shoudn't have these flaws. I wish these are just some units and most of them come as they shoud.

Yes, this defect is also mentioned in this thread "Just ordered new Kobo Forma" (with photos also):

Forma cartoon reading

Can anyone confirm if cartoons are easy to read on the Forma (e.g. Tintin with lots of text)?
Thanks.
