It happens to people, writers or not. At a certain point in life, people often try to shut out the change going on around them. I guess they just can't cope with the changes anymore. Me, I just try to keep a place in the Great Parade in front of The Man Who Traveled In Elephants, rather than behind him... |

Brilliant letter to the company hehe. It kind of puzzles me that the e-book and publishing industry hasn't learned from the obvious mistakes of the music and film industry.

I haven't read any Bradbury in quite a few years, but this attitude towards e-books is absolutely consistent with his point of view going back more than half a century: he hates science, hates the future, and would clearly prefer to be living in 1909 rather than 2009.

) And people will become curious about the "real" books and, hopefully, buy them. But then, all their books are available in e-book format, so they have embraced the new technology. |

I don't see why this whole story should encourage piracy. It should encourage chaging of software company.
If I go to a restaurant and the waiter is rude, I might not come back to that place again, but surely I won't try to steal their food. :P |

Yes, but you probably have your pick of restaurants. But sometimes you can't be picky about software. There isn't always an alternative.
