You mean it kept switching orientation inappropriately? Like it's too sensitive or something?

I’m interested if it’s comfortable to hold with that USB port and power switch right next to the page turn buttons. It seems to be right where you grip the device. Also, can you tell the screen is .2 inch bigger in comparison with the KAO or is it negligible?

So what is the beveled edge intended for? On the Kobo website, they have an animated graphic using the left hand to hold it, and the right to push the buttons (in portrait mode).

The world has apparently decided that only going bigger and bigger will command a higher price, unfortunately for me.
There's a ton of smaller ereaders out there. Except for comfort light and waterproofing, ereaders have really no where less to go. The Aura One is pretty small for a 7.8. That may be a good way for you to go, or the Clara

It does seem like a strange place to put the power button. However, using my Oasis 2, I don't think it would be an issue. Holding the device in my right hand, the side edge of the device doesn't touch my hand. Sometimes I'll hold the device with the bottom right corner sitting in the palm of my hand. But never the side edge of the middle of the device.

This really disappoints me. I hate the asymmetrical form factor for portrait reading and do not like landscape reading. It seems my preferences for all devices are being moved away from...e-readers, phones, laptops...everything is getting worse in my view from an ergonomic and funcitonality perspective.

Ok well that seems hopeful. When they designed the Forma I guess they probably paid attention to these details.

Don't see why would I upgrade my 64GB Clara HD to this...
The form factor change alone isn't worth the price.

Lol....what's wrong with Laptops today and smartphones?? They are more ergonomic and functional than ever before.....ereaders have pretty much stayed the same look wise except for the Forma and Oasis... functionality has been pretty stagnant on ereaders generally.

I haven't yet bought a Clara. If the Forma was a 6" reader, I would have likely bought one over a Clara as I like the buttons and waterproofing and don't mind the asymmetrical design (though I don't know if it is well implemented this time, we'll see what the reviews say).

I wasn't the original poster you were responding to, but my only real beef is with smartphones and how big they are getting. I have an iPhone SE and I am dreading having to move to a larger phone when the time eventually comes to upgrade.

Conversely, I love my Glo HD but I will seriously consider buying a Forma to use as my "at home" e-reader, keeping my Glo for carrying around. I'm not a speed reader but I read quickly enough (and need a large-enough type size) that a larger screen size and fewer page turns would be a nice change.

Hello Kobo reps and friends !
I hold my ereaders for over 3 years on average.
Is there a way to change the battery without permanent damage to the case/components on this new Kobo ?

Thanks in advance !

I am not going to argue with you, which is clearly what you want with the rude and dismissive "LOL" and challenge. If you want to ask people legitimate questions and have a discussion that isn't the way to do it. Your way is far too common online anymore. Not playing.

You gotta be kidding me. You are being Uber sensitive because I thought your comment was funny?? I am not the one that typed the comment. Clearly they are indeed more functional and ergonomic than ever before. In fact laptop manufacturers go out of their way to make them that way. Lastly YOUR COMMENT was rude and dismissive and completely judgmental. If something like an LOL upsets you this much you really should not be posting and interacting with people online. Hope you aren't sensitive about a rolleyes...but your comment warranted it.
