Aura ONE Glowing light at page turns

Hello,
I just got myself a kobo aura one after years of using a kindle PW device.
I am now having this annoying issue of glowing lighting at every page turn.
Can anyone advise whether it's common or is my device defective?
Do I need to change some of settings?

What exactly do you mean with glowing lighting? Could you describe what you are see in some more detail?

The page refresh on an e-ink device with front lighting can seem odd at first, if the user is new to the screen tech.

For lack of a better word, it can seem to "flash" as the page redraws.

Just change how often the page refreshes. I think in the settings you can choose between 1 and 10 pages, or once at the chapter break. You can also edit the config. file if that isn't seldom enough, although I find even with my setting to every 99 pages, it still refreshes a lot more, for example any time I look at the menu (to check the time, or whatever).
