Any news on when KOBO ereader will be at walmart?

Just got the Walmart new ebook app

I was just checking Stores in a 50 mile radius of me to see which store had the ereaders. I Discovered 4 out of the 10 stores are Not 24 hours!! They open at 6 am close at Midnight!!!

There is an "Imported" filter in the book lists, but that isn't displayed directly on the home screen.

I finally got overdrive on my device. yay! I just do not know how to use it. I added my account but i click on it in the menu and nothing happens

I don't have a Kobo with the Overdrive feature, but I think (once you've set up Overdrive and logged into your library) the library books just show up in your Kobo Store — I think there's a "show Overdrive books filter" of some kind to separate them out.

Never mind. I don't think I have that right. Sorry.

Books that you currently have on loan should just appear when you sync your device (in your library). If you want to borrow a book, either go onto a computer browser/overdrive app and borrow it, or search for it in the kobo store on your Kobo device and click on borrow (if available) or put on hold (if not), instead of buy.
There is no separate menu for Overdrive books or libraries, it doesn't work like the overdrive or libby app, it is all done through the kobo store.
If the book isn't available through the kobo store (ie, it isn't available for purchase either) or it is a different version of the book than your library owns, you need to go the old ADE route. Never happened to me, and fairly infrequently reported by other people.

Walmart has the display 3.5 miles south from my apt. The other is NOT getting Kobo at all 3.5 miles north of me.

My Walmart has a display now! This surprises me, it's a small, somewhat rural town, but then again, there's no store locally selling e-readers, so maybe they'll catch a few people, who knows? The display is at one end of the book aisle.

The display is not what I'd call fully realized, there's a screen, speaker holes and buttons, but nothing whatsoever happens when you push a button. There is a Kobo Aura in one clamp, but it is not displaying anything. The other clamp, clearly for the Clara HD, is empty, though there is a price listed.

There are cards for buying a reader, but only for the Kobo Aura. The ebook gift cards are present. That's nice, I can ask for gift cards now I guess. I have to see how this all works. I already have a Walmart account, but rarely use it. Hopefully that can be linked with my Kobo account.

I found a Walmart with a display here in the Salt Lake City area. It’s in Sandy.

They took a section out of their anemic book area to make room for the display. No ereaders. Just books, audiobooks, subs, and gift cards as others have reported seeing. I have to admit that I’m disappointed, but there are other Walmarts to check out before I give up.

I think it’s silly that they have limited cards in stock. They could potentially sell out of a book that’s available forever digitally. Has anybody purchased an ebook at a Walmart yet? I’m not a fan of the selection. I guess my tastes are too obscure. �� I am curious why they have so few books. There’s clearly room for more if they didn’t use multiple slots for one book. However, I hope they do well so that they expand the area and offerings.

Bottom photos show audiobook subscriptions at about $10 per month.
Don't see a similar ebook subscription card.

On your account page at Kobo, you should see a list of sites that you can link accounts. Walmart is now there at the bottom for me. I haven't tried it -- don't have a Walmart account yet -- and haven't linked anything else.

No surprise on the no book subscription. Audiobooks don't fall under agency pricing,

I'll have to go check it out. I mostly read from the library, only occasionally buying a book, so I'm not on the Kobo site often.

Once linked, does that mean any ebook I buy from Walmart will be in my Kobo account? And vice versa?

Which Store are getting the eReaders? Is there a List? Can you Post it?
