The Weather Underground station nearest my place (about ½ mile away) hit 102º this afternoon. It's also humid and there's no breeze.

Like Purple Lady, we're due for random pop-up thunderstorms through the weekend, but the temperature isn't expected to moderate any.

It still warm, 25C and over. The wind has turned, which means that although it cools down nicely at night my bedroom doesn't. For the next week they predict some slightly cooler days before temperatures will rise again. Also, still no rain.

Severe thunderstorms rolled through this afternoon -- temps fell from 102 F (on the deck thermometer) to 74 F over 3 hours.

After weeks of +90 F and +90% humidity, tomorrow's predicted high temp is 78 F ...
I'll believe it when it happens ..
