I love Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but I'm spectacularly bad at it.

In dangerous situation and tend to physically tense myself. It used to be that it was my right hand and I kept pushing the button to crouch/sneak, which isn't good when you are just trying to sprint away from some enemy.

So I've been trying to not do that. Instead my body replaced it with a tensed right arm. And now I think I might have pulled a muscle on the inside of my elbow. It hurts!

Yes, it's the latest in The Legend of Zelda series. I haven't played any of the previous games. It's for on the Nintendo Switch. It's a beautiful game, I especially like it that you're not forced to just play the game story, you're free to roam the world, which is what I mostly do and enjoy.

I didn't sleep well due to my arm, though it's now less painful than ladt night.

I've developed one of those, in my case I think it's a result of doing arm-curls with too much weight - so I've cut that that exercise from my gym sessions to see if it goes away.

And, of late I've been getting a weird locking thing with my little fingers and thumbs. One or other of them will suddenly become unmoveable, a bit like a cramp but without any pain. If I grab the the finger or thumb with the other hand and wobble it around it unlocks. I get a similar thing with my feet, when I'm in bed.

Thinking it must be a symptom of peripheral neurology (which I have, but still no identifiable cause) I asked my neurologist if it was something I should be concerned about. His answer was, "Oh I get that, its called old age. Don't worry about it unless it becomes permanently immobilised." He and I are about the same vintage

That was the ladt time I'm going down to check something when the store is closed for a customer who messaged though Facebook. Someone send a question just after 3am this morning. I go down this morning to check and answer him at 8.30am, on a day the store's closed. A little while later I get another message telling me it's rediculous that it took me more than 5 hours to answer!

I just got another message from another customer. Told him I'm jot sure ee have an item in stock, I'll check tomorrow, when the store's open and I'll let him know. This customer didn't mind luckily.

I swear, your customers are worse than mine, somehow. Mesaged at 3:00 a.m.? And expected that what, you'd jump on it? I have two words for them, and they ain't "happy birthday."

We have more good than bad customers, but the bad ones do seem to worse. Last week I helped, or tried to help, and American tourist, who threw a fit when I told her that none of the decorative LED light bulbs work on 110 volt. She thought that was ridiculous.

An added problem for us is that people (especially 50+) think very easily about electricity. We almost hear "but it's worked fine for 30/40/50/X years". Yeah, that doesn't mean it's safe. And if you want to electrocute yourself go ahead, but they're also a danger to others.

We also regularly have customer that complain that we're not open 7 days a week until 8pm (like the local shopping mall makes the shops do). But luckily we're unique in the city, so we don't have to for the customers to come to us. Sure the big DIY stores offer some competition, but people more and more appreciate knowledge about the products you sell.

The only way that response makes any sense is if the clueless and rude one failed to realize you were in a different time zone.

I don't think so. He wanted to know if we had a certain series of wall switches, sockets, frames, etc (is there a name for that in English? We can it switching material) in stock to look at it. He wanted to come by the store on Monday, which is a day we're closed, which I told him.

I'm sorry, I don't give two s**ts, but 3:00 a.m. is not a reasonable time for ANY customer. That's absurd. I get this, myself--for some reason, because we're an Internet business, people think that they can call in the middle of the night, and someone will be here. Well, someone IS here--the bookmakers, who are not allowed to speak to the clients. (No, I'm not Scrooge in the modern day, it's to protect them. Clients are VERY good at worming unpaid edits out of bookmakers, and I make sure that I don't put the bookmakers in that situation.)

It's irrational. Unless their damn house is on fire, or their A/C went out in the middle of a 110F night, it's NOT an emergency. 3:00 a.m. UNfreakingbelievable.

I don't expect the same things from small local stores as from the mall or "big box" stores. I expect the mall stores to be open long hours and carry a wide variety of product at low prices. From a small local shop I expect (as you said) knowledge of the product and personal service, even if I have to pay a little more.

If your website/Facebook gives your store hours then your customers ought to be able to read and see that you are not open at 3:00 AM!

We don't mind helping when it's an emergency. Today someone from one of the Greek restaurants came to buy a new plug and wall socket for one of their grills, which stopped working on Saturday night. They done without all weekend. We wouldn't have minded if they called us on Saturday or Sunday to ask if we had replacements.

Don't get me started about snowflake customers. Yesterday, the doorbell rang. We're expecting a package so I go downstairs. But it's a customer, asking if we're closed. Hints: the door is closed, the lights are off, on the window it says we're closed on Monday. Yes, but I was here now, so I could help him. No I can't, even I wanted to I don't have a till and you're not a regular customer I can trust to come back and pay. Then he threatened to go to a big DIY store if I didn't help him. So I wished him good luck and closed the door. That's the drawback of living over the store and many customers knowing this. And yes, the doorbell is marked with our family name, not the store's name. Maybe I should label the hole where the doorbell used to be for the store with the store's name, but I don't think many will get the hint.

It might have a shot if you both label the hole with the store's name and put in a new doorbell switch there. It doesn't have to be connected to anything, just there so they have something else to push for a while.

If you are really feeling mischievous connect it to a light or something that you can see from the door but isn't going to be obnoxious during the week. That way they can push the "bell", see that something is happening, and still not disturb you.

(Yes, I know you will then get complaints about "no one answering" but you already get those and at least this way you won't get disturbed as much.)
