I'm in the store, with an hour to go until closing time and I'm bored. It's hot and there's a public transport strike so it's quiet. Which means that it feels like time have slowed down to a crawl.

Nope. It was a floating swim structure-thingy which was supposed to be anchored at a cottage across the lake. Somehow the rope came undone and it floated away with several people on board. Another neighbour got his boat and towed them back to their cottage.

Pretty dang funny for a while. This thing was like 10 foot tall at the head.

I'm wondering and hoping that the DOMS in my ab muscles abates by tomorrow. I really loathe DOMS in my abs. It always makes me feel sick as hell. So unlike it everywhere else.

A small update on the Family Thing.

A summary of the last hearing:

My uncle's lawyer wanted a detailed overview of the costs my uncle had to pay back. Not only of the money he stole (that we know of so far, since my uncle still hasn't given us all of the bookkeeping like the judge told him to do), but also half of the legal costs he made (again, as the judge ordered him to do and he hasn't done). It took our lawyer just over a week to put that together.

Last week, after we hadn't heard anything from my uncle's lawyer, our lawyer called him. He told her that an offer of €10000 would be, in his opinion, fair (to buy off my uncle), he hadn't discussed it with my uncle, since he was on vacation. But he's going to discuss it when he gets back some time early this and will let our lawyer know what their decision is by Wednesday.

One of the conditions we are going to add is that if my uncle get any money he will have to pay back the money he owes, which is more than what he'll get. And it's been decided that no matter what will happen, if he doesn't agree with the offer we made (higher price, no inheritance for my uncle) we're going to do anything in our power to have him repay that money.

We don't think my uncle will agree with €10000. So we'll have to see if it goes back to court.

I'll write an update when I hear more.

I've just done some online shopping. I've ordered t-shirts in the UK (I love Evans, the plus sized clothing stores in the Netherlands think every plus sized woman wants oversized and bright printed shirts), I've ordered some craft supplies in preparation from making the Christmas cards and I've ordered a little step stool to elevate my new fan a little bit.

My father offered to pay a certain amount for the house on the condition that my uncle would rescind his right to his part of the inheritance. If my uncle agreed he wouldn't have to pay back the money he stole from my grandmother.
