Kindle Price Cut.
It looks like the Kindle Voyage, and the Kindle Paperwhite, both have permanent price cuts. The Kindle Voyage is showing up as having a regular price of $149.99 and the Paperwhite having a regular price of $89.99

Back up to $120 again. (I did see the $90 price in the Kindle line-up temporarily, but not when I clicked on it.) I don't know if it was a screw up or if they had some kind of flash sale.

EDIT: Something is going on. You currently can't buy one with 3G or without special offers. Is the new Paperwhite about to be announced?

Gotta be a glitch. The main product page still says $119.99, but Customize makes it $89.99. Should be $20 more (same as if you remove them later). And according to a number of people you can get them removed for free if you call customer support.

It would be nice if Amazon actually made some Special Offers. I remember when SO's were introduced, being offered some nice deals. Like paying $10 and getting a $20 gift card. Now they are just ads.

It is really messed up right now. The price for the Paperwhite with Special Offers is back up to $119.99. However if you buy the white one, it is $30 cheaper than that, and buying it without ads is $109.99. Here is a screenshot.

Same here, now. They seem to be playing around with the Paperwhite pages for some reason. I've got a feeling a new one is on the way.

As for Voyages ... I may be wrong, but I think this will be the end of them.

I've held out all this time, just bought one yesterday, so yes, there will be a new reader announced in a couple weeks!! Never fails, if I buy something either the price drops significantly or a new model comes out almost immediately.

It is still messed up. Right now if you go to Amazon it is $119.99, but if you click on it, it says it is $89.99. Then if you customize it, to add it to your cart, it is back up to $119.99.

I think the next Paperwhite is likely to have Bluetooth audio and 8GB storage. Maybe a new CPU/GPU so Invert Black & White feature is available.

If they were to add TTS (or at least ability to download additional voices for VoiceView), & enable immersion reading, I’d probably be interested, but I am otherwise pretty happy with Voyage.

Immersion is unlikely to happen on an e-ink Kindle.
