Now supported in calibre 3.25.0
Calibre version 3.25.0 was release today. This includes support for the Clara HD. If someone has one and sees any problems, please report them to me so I can investigate what is wrong.

I think they must have been a bit eager putting it up yesterday.
![]() Presumably they can't sell it till the official release date and have taken down the listing. |

I was thinking the same thing. To me, the Nook is the nicer piece of hardware, but Kobo definitely has better software, especially if you use Calibre.

As I understand it, Nook doesn't play nearly as nicely with sideloaded content as Kobo.

it all depends on what the individuals/users top priorities are. for me none of the new ereaders from any of the companies be it Kindle, Kobo, Nook or whoever have brought out a device/model that i consider to be better than my Original Aura that bought back in 2014. and yes i do realise that i might be in the minority here but eh i don't mind ![]() best wishes koboy ![]() |

I really don't understand why people like page turn buttons that much... Isn't tapping the screen adequate? Or is it to avoid accidentally touching the screen?
Kobo is great for sideloading/hacking/tinkering in general. |

obviously it's each to their own. i really don't understand why people want to tap tap tap the screen all of the time for every single thing. completely agree Kobo are excellent regarding your second point. best wishes koboy ![]() |

I don't know if that's still a problem, but I've read there are various bugs with how the Nook handles sideloaded content such as certain features not working properly with sidedloaded books, or sideloaded books randomly disappearing from user-created collections, and Nook developers have shown zero inclination to fix them.

Mind, if e-ink readers allowed greater customization for page turns, it wouldn't be as much of a problem. On my PRS-350 running PRS Plus firmware, I had single tap for both right and left margins set to advance to next page. If only the PRS-350 had front light, it would've been perfect. That said, the Nook's restrictions are a deal breaker for me given one of my primary uses is sideloaded content. I use a PW3 (Manga 32GB, jailbroken) and a Glo HD (64GB). |

ok thanks for that. i'd only read about the so called 1GB restriction for sideloaded content that actually might now be no longer the case apparently. best wishes koboy ![]() |
