I wonder why they went with a capacitive screen instead of infrared? | |

I wonder if the Clara is going to be the e-reader they sell at Walmart. I have a hard time seeing people, especially Walmart shoppers dropping $129 for this when a comparable reader can be had from Amazon and B&N for less. Now if they made a Kobo Mini 2 and sold it for $49 that could push a lot of people to buy including those who might not have been in the market for an e-reader. |

We have a nice, big comparison image of the screen next to the H2O 2 here http://aldus2006.typepad.fr/.a/6a00d...84c010e200c-pi Looks good in terms of contrast. Doesn't have the slight darkness of the H2O 2, but it's a shame that e-Ink has been static in terms of developments over the past few years. I might be tempted to replace my Aura 2 with it. |

Eh not a great entry level price and kind of lackluster features for the price. 300DPI is standard Comfort light is kind of old now No waterproofing No external storage And they’re asking for more than the equivalent kindle or nook. |

I didn't see any mention of Overdrive integration. Is that feature remaining on the flagship Aura reader only?

On Kobo Canada website, it's listed as 139.99$CAN with 300DPI 159.6 x 110 x 8.35 mm screen. Unless one absolutely NEEDS the Comfort Light PRO, I'd recommend the Kobo-refurbished Glo HD at 90$CAN instead. |

Where do you get the refurbished Glo HD from? I'm still using the non HD Glo.

They sell it for 89.99$CAN on ebay.ca at least, the seller's name is "rakutenkobo" and it seems to be the real company. The refurbished box was certainly genuine. I don't know if I'm allowed to link to it from here, but it's easy to find on ebay.ca if you search "kobo glo hd".

this device should have been called The Kobo Glo HD Edition 2. ultimately all that's new is it as double the internal storage from 4GB to 8GB. and it also as the orangey/bluey so called Comfort light if you like that kind of thing which obviously some people do. other than that it's basically (same old) on the plus side at least the specs are better than The Aura Edition 2 so every cloud best wishes koboy |

I would like to see if the PDF and KBZ/KBR performance is better then Kobo Glo HD. There was a talk about improved cpu with Clara HD. |
