New recipe for Russian newspaper Komsomolskaia Pravda (in russian).
In order to use this recipe properly on Sony reader you need to do following: 1. On the device's internal memory create folder called FONT 2. Copy to that folder any serif true-type font and name it serif0.ttf My recommendation is to use GPL set of fonts called Liberation. You can get them from here: https://fedorahosted.org/releases/l/i/liberation-fonts/ For this and other recipes you should copy LiberationSerif-Regular.ttf You do not have to do this if you already patched sony reader with adequate fonts. |

@shinew that'sa bug in mobipocket output, open a ticket for it
@kiklop74 In that case it most probably is anti-scraping tech. Too bad. @Gideon thanks for the updated recipe |

the new yorker feed broken
could someone upload a new version of the recipe for "The New Yorker"? i used the custom recipe from kiklop74 earlier this thread.
It fetches fine with all the contents in it, but all the links the articles are messed up, most of them just go straight to the cartoons... thanks! UPDATE: actually for some reason it only grabbed 1 article, so not all the contents are there. UPDATE 2: never mind. it seems to be Calibre's problem because when tried to grab the feed from using feed2disk then any2mobi, everything looks fine. So the recipe is good and I'll report the bug. I'll see about those in the next 10-15 days. I'm not promising anything.

I'm not even sure if this is possible, but it would be so useful for me if it is that I have to ask. I am trying to find an automated way to get recent court of appeals opinions on my reader.
The feed is http://feeds.findlaw.com/FindLawFed and the post titles link to pdf files (almost only text) of the actual opinions (what I am interested in). Thanks in advance. |

So I LOVE the xkcd recipe, and honestly RSS feeds for most webcomics are just for the blogpost and not for the comic itself. I don't know any python, and I'm just starting to crack through the user manual...
Well if anybody can knock 'em out quickly... > ) http://www.amazingsuperpowers.com/home.htm http://www.explosm.net/comics/ http://www.lefthandedtoons.com/ http://www.pbfcomics.com/ http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3 http://www.smbc-comics.com/#comic http://www.truckbearingkibble.com/ http://www.vgcats.com/comics/ ...but if not, I'll slowly plod through it, this is as good as any to take up learning Python. |
