Well ... hmmmmm ..... yes, I can rather see it turning out like that.

I'm in a lot of pain .... I am NOT a pleasant person when I'm in a lot of pain.

I am especially not a pleasant person when some total moron tells me that I supposedly got the benefit of all those groceries that exploded when my car hit a FREAKING TRUCK!!!

I just got a call from a client (who was worried that I hadn't cashed her check yet ... it was for a lot of money). I explained to her that it's still in my wallet and that I wasn't able to get to the bank because the truck drivers of Texas are a bunch of complete twits.

Errrrrrgh. All the burned up spots on my arms are starting to crinkle and peel now. They itch. That makes me even less pleasant.

you, know, i think you should accept neko's offer to fly down and help you for a while. bill the airline ticket to the insurance company (along with the groceries).

Are the police going to prosecute that truck driver for his reckless behaviour?
I do hope so. His carelessness about the safety of other road users is shocking.

Hoping that that the pain is gone soon and that you are more feisty than ever when recovered.

You'll have to teach them not to *tease a tiger* and that a bit of more humane treatment would not have roused such resentment.

Be sure to get a deposition from the officer who said "two inches to the right and you'd have been decapitated" or whatever it was.

And if you're going to sue AIG, you probably don't want to wait. Who knows how long they'll still be afloat? But I have to say, since MY TAX DOLLARS were used to bail them out, I'd be perfectly happy to see a chunk of that change going to you.

He likely got off with a ticket. Sad, but true. Who knows ... he was probably amped up on something. Long haul truckers frequently are.

I was serious about that offer, btw. If you need help with the cat boxes, fountains, washing sheets, mopping floors, etc., let me know. I think I'm not the only one among us who's a bit worried about you out there.
