You need to rename the edition 2 hardware to say "version 1" because there is a version 2 and we would not want anyone with a version 2 to install the wrong firmware.

I have updated kobofirmware with the latest mark7 Kobo Aura Edition 2 v2 and Kobo Aura H2O Edition 2 v2 devices.

The trickiest part was that the update zip url for those devices do not include the whole version (4.8 instead of 4.8.10956) (I hope this is temporary because my page depends on it), so I had to make an override for their update url. If this is not temporary, it will take me quite a bit of work to extract the latest version for the devices.

So far, all of the newer affiliates get the updates for the new devices, with the exception of rakutenbooks (which is out of date for everything but the Kobo Mini).

I used 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000379 for the Aura ed2 v2 and 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000378 for the Aura h2o ed2 v2. Please let me know if I was wrong.

Just one question: Here in Brazil the Kobo affiliate is Livraria Cultura but it does not show under the other affiliates, why is that and whitch other version do you suggest using in this case for aplying patchs?

Two questions actualy.

It does not actually matter which affiliate is used, as the affiliates are only used to get the version info. The download is the same for all of them. I picked the affiliates I did because of the order in which they get the new updates.

Oh, and kobo seems to have pulled the firmware release for the v2 devices. The link is still in the "Other Versions" button (but it does not work), but none of the affiliates I check seem to give the firmware anymore.

The firmware for the Aura ONE LE also seems to have been pulled, but the download link works, so I've downloaded it just in case anyone wants it.

EDIT: The firmware is now pulled for all devices. I wonder what is happening.

That is probably going to be the Clara HD. Which will probably be Mark 7. But, there doesn't look to be a firmware version available to download, so we can't be sure.

This is what I thought, it's the only Id that doesn't correspond with any of the current devices in firmware 4.8.10956.

A nice feature might be an automated RSS/Atom feed, with a list of new firmware releases.
Not sure how many people would benefit from it, but for me it would be very helpful.
I wasn't able to find a similar RSS/Atom feed for Kobo firmware updates so far...
