An interesting one, Difflugia. Though China Black covers a pretty broad range of possibilities.

Just finished my Major Dickason's Blend coffee, now settling down to a good cuppa -- Murchie's Balmoral Blend.

According to the box, this tea "was cultivated in high mountainous tea estate of Yunnan province of China". The flavor's unique among the other black teas I've tried. It has the oaky, leafy, earthen flavor of a Keemun, but without the honey sweetness. It's one of my favorite boxed teas.

So today, I'm having a tea that's almost the opposite flavorwise, Wei Chuan Organic Black Tea. It just says that it's a blend of teas from mainland China. It's got the Keemun sweetness, but little else. I steep this one for ten minutes or so and get a really rich malt-honey flavor that I like, but it needs a little more body to be truly satisfying.

I suspected it might be a Yunnan. For some reason, they tend not to work for my tastes, though a bit of it in a blend is useful. I tend towards Keemuns and Souchongs for my China Blacks.

I still seem to be mostly stuck in a coffee rut. That's not all bad, but I need to start drinking more tea. If only to justify my stash.
