I will upgrade to the latest firmware eventually--when I have a little bit of time to install the firmware and the patches I use. Curious to see the new quick page flip option work and to see if prior reading stats are more accurately reported. |

@dordale: Do you have a sleep cover?
That would explain why you are seeing reading times that are much higher than normal, because sometimes, the KA1 doesn't go to sleep when the cover is closed; not even when using the official cover. I regularly (once ever two weeks or so) I find my KA1 almost drained of battery, and a claim that I've been reading a book for 15 hours straight. |

Sometime, I may try turning off the sleep cover option in settings to see if this makes the time spent reading more accurate. But, frankly, I don't care too much, as long as the time to read is accurate and I really appreciate the sleep cover functionality. |

![]() And for the discussion on the cover, if you also have the sleep timeout configured, even if something happens that the cover doesn't trigger the sleep, then this should. And that time will get counted as reading time for the book. So, if you have the sleep timer set to 60 minutes and rely on that, you get an extra hour in each reading session. |

Good point on sleep timeout--I do have it set up to timeout after 10 minutes, so I would at most get 10 extra minutes per reading session--no way for that to add up to the amount of reading time my Kobo shows. |
