I didn't realize that there is such a demand for classics.

I see some tucked in corners here and there, but I don't bother posting them because I assume that the editions are well known and widely available. I don't want to post something that is available at a thousand other places. If I read classics, I would know what to post.

As a newly-minted credit member, this is the first 2-for-1 sale in which I'll get to participate. Unfortunately, as soon as I got my membership a week or so ago, I became giddy and burned through my 2 credits for the month (it was a promotion) in no time.

Someone mentioned the possibility of buying credits. Would someone briefly tell me what that entails, what the price of the credits is, those kinds of things? I would much appreciate it, as it would keep me from having to dig in Audible's website to find the answers.

There should be an option at the top of the page to buy 3 extra credits. Costs approcimately $35.

I find that if the option to buy more credits isn’t listed at the top of the page then go to your account and start the close your account option. It usually gives you the option to buy more credits then. You can cancel the close your account at any point so don’t worry. It’s always worked for me but that’s audible UK.

Just FYI, the last time I tried to buy credits I got this error:

We're sorry, your account is not eligible for extra credits at this time. Members are eligible to purchase extra credits if they:

Have only 1 or 0 credits in their account*
Are on the same Audible membership plan for at least 2 months

*Members on an annual plan must also be at least 30 days from their next bill date.

^ Yep, I’m in that same boat. On a new plan, so I can’t buy extra credits, at least not that way. But I’ve found that if I add two selections to the sale cart, it allows me to buy a credit for the regular $15. Tempted, as there are a few of the Great Courses that I’d love to get (even though my audiobook backlog is decades long already).

I've always thought it strange that the app was only available on iOS.

The download link works. It actually points directly to the .m4a file, and starts to play in your browser window. Instead, right click on the DOWNLOAD link and choose "save as".

However, I don't recall whether .m4a is usable outside of iOS or mac. ???
