Relying on a cotton candy "review" from someone who has a dubious reputation and who stands to financially benefit from the sale of such devices is probably not the wisest of ideas. |

I have seen applications (and I am talking of "reading" applications) that on the MaxCarta, i.MX6SL, seem to be almost frozen in a semi-state of "panic" (as I cannot now remember the technical term), performing slower than the slow processor - slow as the consequence of the overall low specifications. The same applications, on the Max2, RK3288, output fast like an avalanche. Last edited by mdp; 04-24-2018 at 04:37 AM. |

 > Four year old hardware isn't necessarily bad > All depends, in the case of old architecture there is less battery optimization In the specific case, you are well served, because I do not think that the RK3288 - Cortex-A17 - was ever superseded by a more efficient (cost effective etc.) technology. To the best of my not in-depth research. |

I think that architecture for the Note is ok, Onyx should work optimizing the battery drain using Wifi and in the tablet in general that happens today.

Is anyone using the Onyx Note for heavy notetaking? Would you recommend it over the reMarkable if the writing experience comes first? I mainly care about its native notetaking app. Is it true that it sometimes freezes or that it doesn’t always register all the strokes of the stylus?

So my device of choice is the Max 2 for full-size PDF reading, and the reMarkable for notetaking. |

			Hi dear Note owners,

i have a question regarding Exporting Notes from the Note, especially to Evernote. How do you approach exporting? At the moment i either do it with the Evernote app, and just import it. This is slow if there are multiple different notes that go into differen Books. Alternativly i would want to do it via connecting the device to my pc. Stupid thing is i have to reboot the device to actually show my exported notes in the notes folder. Input apreciated! Thanks |

Still, remarkable is probably better as a writing device since that is its primary function. |
