There is also another reading of "Poke" -- in Japanese there is the imported word "Poketto" (pocket) from which, IIUC, "Pokemon" (pocket monster) got part of its name. So one idea is that there is an implication of the thing being referred to being on the smaller side (fits in your pocket).

Anyone has any information on the hardware buttons (or lack of thereof) on Nova/Poke? A shame that Poke doesn't have BT tho.

Hi,
I wanted to change my onyx ereader, so I found you and some news on the web. These guys are in Hong Kong and have seen the new models: Ligo, Poke and new Nova.

I love Nova, but I did not understand what is the button below.

Nova: has MicroSD (good), but it is missing buttons and jack. Unfortunately, the words that come to my mind are "twice almost unusable".
I do not think this lack of features should be encouraged.

That is SO cool!

I wonder if it's pronounced like Pokemon too. I'll have to try and catch some videos where they talk about it.

Good advice, I certainly won't be going to them judging by what I read before purchasing a Max 2 from the ereader.store and Waldemar instead....

Onyx should focus in improve their software a lot instead of releasing new products, today the OS in Note is buggy and there are incompatibilities with apps of Google Store everywhere.

This is an important reason of why companies fail, because they don't focus on what customers need most.
