New Products Announced
Onyx International is at the Hongkong Electronic Fair and they've announced a bunch of new products on their Facebook page HERE.

Boox e-Music Score, Nova, Poke (lol name) and the Note S.

Looks like exciting times ahead!

Device: More than I need, but not as many as I would like.
From what I saw of the spec sheets in the FB link on the other thread, the Note S, a 9.7" device, will have a front light and an SD card slot. Other than that, it looks like it will be very similar to the Note. Can't check now as I don't have an FB account.

Unfortunately, Note S retains the 1200x825 screen from their previous N series devices - which means it is still 150ppi; less pixel density than Max2 and Note 10.3.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. It will save me some money because I likely won't be purchasing it now that I already have the Note.

If its screen had the same resolution as the Note, then I might have been sorely tempted by the promise of a light and an SD card slot. I could have lived with the slightly smaller 9.7" screen size, but the lower resolution screen might be harder to live with.

The page says that the Note S has only 1gb ram. I don't mind the low res screen but low ram worsens overall performance.

Missed that. Even less to entice me now. I'll wait for a second generation Note to eventually become available. In the meantime, I'm greatly enjoying the current Note.

I like the looks of the Nova - though I'm still leaning toward the current Note. The Nova looks to be a pretty good 7.8 in eReader!

I wonder how long it will be before these new devices end up on our tables...
