Their github page has a link to apk files for all their release and beta versions. Just take a recent version and sideload to your device.

Edit: This was already answered.

@Gimble, @Mdp : Thank you

It's downloaded, I've take the file 'Librera-7.8.34-c518-arm64.apk'. Even when the security is removed for unknown source, the application is not installed.

I've put the file in the 'Download' directory and select it. The message is 'App not installed'.

Any idea ?

P.S. : Sorry my 'newbee' questions, but it's the first Android device which I can use ...

You need to use the 'arm' version not the 'arm64' version to get it to work. i.e. Install the "Librera-7.8.34-c517-arm.apk" file.

Booxtor wrote me that the problem is the dust between the screen and the stylus that could be the cause of the scratch. If there is no screen protector, remove the dust from the screen and on the stylus before to write, a clean hand could be adequate.

I'm happy with my new Max2 and the screen protector
Could you please post a photo how the light reflection looks like with this screen protector?

I have tried to apply some screen protector but due to the Max's recessed screen design it is super hard to fit it. I've just destroyed it but anyway it was glossy one so I do not regret. I bought it for $3 in China ;-)

Anyway, It's been a while and I do not see any new scratches on my screen. I use it normally, maybe I'm a little bit careful about it but nothing paranoid. I don't know when and how the scratches happened on my screen. I guess that maybe it was during the first day when I tried everything including the pen pressure sensitivity drawing mode - normally I don't press the pen much on the surface and as I stated before I don't like using the pressure sensitivity mode to the extent that I regrett it is the default one.

Yes Mdp, you are right

I've take the time to look how to use Adp on my Debian :

About Librera, where is the best place to discuss about it or to obtain some help, because I have not found any place for this in Mobileread ?

Maybe, you could help me for one thing, the crop function. Some PDF of mines are protected by a Watermark. The mark is out of the 'page', so when I read the in landscape mode with two pages displayed, I lost more than 5 cm ( roughly 2 inches) in the width, the useful test is to small. How to manually crop a PDF file like with NeoReader 2 ?

When you open up a pdf in the Neoreader app, at the bottom of the screen you have an option called "navigation". One of its sub-options is "manual crop" which allows you to manually specify a rectangular section of the page to crop.

It's nice to you to give me this reply, but, again, I've expressed my thought not correctly , because my question which I would have a reply is : With Librera, how to manually crop a PDF file like with NeoReader 2 ?

Ah.. sorry, didn't read your question correctly. I don't see a readily apparent way to do this in Librera, but I am not very familiar with the app either.

If watermark is the main problem, have you tried removing it from your file?

Not now ... to many files and no enough time

Even without watermaks, it is useful to crop the page to remove all no necessary parts, like for some magazines with big borders.

I opened a thread, "Librera - a demonstration", probably a couple of months ago, that could be a good place:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=294390
there is an open question there from you BTW, I never remembered to test and answer.

There is also a possibility of feature requests - Foobnix is very cooperative.

Maybe my process is not good to remove a watermark. I made this one time. With 'Pdftk' the PDF file is uncompressed to obtain the corresponding PS file and the watermark is removed : it's a string of characters.
I don't know if a place is reserved for the box containing the text of the watermark or an other space. In this case, even if I remove the visible watermark, the space occupied by it could be conserved and the automatic crop function doesn't give the good result.

If someone know to remove this, I would happy to know it.

Very good question, I will create new thread on Mobileread to give answers for community. Now you can also write to support email "librera.reader@gmail.com" or create github issues.

>>How to manually crop a PDF file like with NeoReader 2 ?
Could you please make screenshots of NeoReader 2 or send me link to this app? I can't find it on Google Play
I see the problem that every page can have different format and manual crop may be wrong, I am thinking about text border recognition with third party tools to make crop automatic and very

Maybe mdp can help us with mathematics how to detect text borders without watermark?
