It's not manga it's a regular novel.

This is not the Manga version so you don't have to care about Manga. Also, the translation is good. I've read it and it's a very good book. Well worth reading.

In most cases, you nominate what you hope will be a good book. But in this case, I nominated a book I've already read that I know is good book.

I don't feel the need to justify my nominations/seconds to anyone, but I never waste one on a book I don't even remotely want to read. That being said, I've been fooled before, and will be again, and in both directions.

What I vote for/nominate/second this week might be totally different to what I would do next week. I go where the mood takes me; the main problem with this is that by the time the vote is decided I may no longer be in the mood. These are truly dire problems that we face.

When someone expresses doubts about the quality of a book but decides it somehow deserves to be voted on anyway, yes, I'm taken aback. And, yes, I am quite hung up on the word deserves.

The Radium Girls... when shown on Kobo AU showed up a link for The Toymakers by Robert Dinsdale, and the reviews on Goodreads make this sound like an interesting book - I'm starting to wish that was on our list.
