Maybe I should feature-request Andrew from Lightining...
In case this is new and you are not aware, they have page-top and page-bottom software buttons on the note browser:

Should be possible to add or change to page up and down (?).

(Not a worthy replacement for hardware buttons, but still worth looking into imo.)

I believe that icon relates to the physical page forward/backward buttons on the Max and Max 2 so that you can switch from using them as forward/backward buttons to using them as volume up/down buttons.

Because the Note doesn't have such physical buttons, the circle with the plus and minus signs doesn't seem to currently serve any function on the Note.

Great, thanks for the update, Librera works fine for PDF reflow but I have a preference for Koreader, I'm a frog... Kudos to Boox for such an move, the price tag of the device feels lighter

The built-in browser on the note overlays soft pgup/pgdown buttons which, while not as good as hardware buttons, actually work really well for long format reading on the web. I've been very positively surprised by the superb browsing inexperience on the note! its really usable, not what I had expected at all

Just tried the "Button Remapper" app. The option for "screenshot" was unfortunately not included in the list of available actions.

Then tried the "Button Mapper" app, but mapping of the "Back" button was confined to the pro version of the app. I wouldn't necessarily mind paying for the app (it is good to support developers), but I don't want to buy an app if it will not allow me to do what I require of it.

Oh well, hopefully, Onyx will enable screenshots on a long press of the power or back button in a future update. Until then, although not ideal, I can always use a camera to take a picture if absolutely needed.

OneNote is also a top priority for me, so I wrote to ereader.store and received the following response from Waldemar:

"We know about the problem concerning stylus input lag in third party apps and we are working to solve the problem ASAP. Some apps are set on our task list for optimizing with high priority (e.g OneNote) and shall be supported in next update by the end of March."

I would take that deadline with a grain of salt, but at least they seem to be aware of the issue and working on it. Hopefully we will see a fix sometime soon. Until then I am sticking with my M96, which seems to be doing most things just as well.

Thanks for sharing.

This "task list for optimizing" we're hearing about -- it sounds like it's on a per-app basis. That suggests that the .apks are being individually modified.

IIUC, there are already some such apks mentioned at the onyx forums.

Has anyone examined them in detail?

So the end of March has come and gone, and still no Note in the US as promised. This morning, a post from Onyx came across my Facebook feed and I got so excited, only to find out it was an April Fool's day prank. Not the best timing, Onyx.

Sorry if this is a repeated question, I tried to search for an answer with no luck.

Do they plan to have Onyx Boox Note 10.3 with light in the future? it seems the 9.7" does, I would get one if it has light.

The latest Good E Reader YouTube video said that their experience in the eink business was that frontlights could be done for any screen. I believe I’ve read however that frontlights cannot so far be made for flexible eink screens such as the Note has.

I don't know what they mean exactly. I too heard from different people (including those from the industry) that frontlight is possible only with glass screen. However, this might be an imprecise statement. Perhaps more or less good frontlight requires glass
