adb shell screencap (adb shell screencap -p /sdcard/myscreenshot.png) ? Going instead to possibly a real solution: do we have Accessibility Services? If so, a software like "Button Remapper" could give a long press of the [Menu] or [Back] for you the screenshot capability, for John the "Home" call, etc. While this will not change current Note tablets, I requested Onyx to strongly consider NEVER, never again producing a device with less then five hardware buttons. |

Hi,
so i tested the Note vs the reMarkable. The writing felt significantly better on the reMarkable, but that was to be expected. But the Pen of the reMarkable actually felt better for me on the Note, it had more friction, and made it easier to write. Sadly the stochastic friction from the paper feeling is still missing. But the feeling was significantly better, so i ordered the reMarkable pen to use it with the note. I will be missing the eraser, but i think i can live with that, maybe i attach the eraser from the other pen. For all the rest, the note is also obviously much more capable compared to the reMarkable (browsing exporting and so on) But im eager to see how this will develop in the future, because the hacking scene seems to be taking up interest in the reMarkable, and since its open source, you can easily implement your own solutions, so I have to keep an eye on that. |

I got my Onyx Boox Note 10.3 and it's my first experience with Eink. And I'm disappointed how Onyx Boox implemented Pen input. No... built-in Note application mostly worked well. I can fast writing/drawing and it's really working. But after I install Google Translate and trying Handwriting, I got lags about 2 seconds when curve reaches current pen position. Also I trying another drawing application from Play Market and got the same thing.
Built-in reader periodically crashes when I reading official User Guide included in Library. And I not found, which means the icon in the upper right corner contains plus and minus in circle. |

We'll find out, let us know when you get the device.... It is just a bit annoying (read: bad service and communication) that UPS told me two weeks ago that the item is ready for delivery the next day, but then it turned out they did never received the item from the e-reader.de store.

It's a familiar situation when a new device coming out with https://ereader.store/en/, with the same comments and criticisms about silence, no reply, etc. but ultimately all devices were delivered. This situation exists from the M92.
Now it's worst because there is the Max2 and the Note in the same period. Before any comments about this, I agree with all people : It's not a good excuse, but as already written 'Ereader-store' is a little company with a good support - in normal condition. I am concerned by this situation too, I am still waiting a reply before to order the Max2 ![]() |

As I know, reMarkable has a 1Ghz processor with 512Mb of ram, very low specs compared with Note...

(OTOH, the battery life is a bit low - probably because the processor is constantly scanning the touch screen) |

https://www.digitaltrends.com/tablet...tablet-review/ In the lows you get this: Middling battery life Underwhelming performance I don't understand why they used so little RAM and that processor, my cellphone is 2 years old and has 3GB of RAM and a 2Ghz octa-core |

thanks for this addition. As the reMarkable pen is working on the Note I guess, this original Wacom-pen will work in the Note, too? https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich...pen-wacom.html This device is much cheaper than reMarkable pen but also offers a felt tip which I would love to use it on the Boox Note. Am I right or is this just a wrong pen...? |

I bought mine from TaoBao/TMall directly and waited a month until someone could bring it over from China. It is a Chinese New Year edition which comes with a case for free.
Below are my first impressions after playing with it for a couple of days. 1: Size & weight: It's perfect! I am impressed how light it feels, and it's also thinner than anticipated. In fact it's so thin that it gives a flimsy feeling. 2: Lack of audio jack -- Maybe I should have read the specs earlier so it came as a surprise. It shouldn't be a big deal since you always have the option to use a BT headphone for audio. I haven't tested that but I will update. 3: Reading experience: Pretty good. while using touch to flip the pages I found it's very responsive while not too touchy. 4: Note taking (plus): This is the feature why I bought it. It works very well within its Note and reader app, and I have to say it's the BEST writing experience with electronic writing. strokes are very accurate, display is very responsive. since the screen is thinner than glass lcd screens, your pen stroke just appears right under your pen tip, which is smokes iPads, surface pros, etc. 5: Not taking (minus): Here is the bad part. I am addicted to OneNote, but hand notes on OneNote app is almost unusable. Is there any remedy to it? 6: Strange charging behavior: I found that even when battery is full and device power-off, it still consistenly and constantly drawing about 170ma based on my usb power meter reading. But it doesn't seem it's the system/battery that's sucking power while it's off since if I leave it unplugged overnight, and plug it back in the next day, the power meter current reading will quickly drop back to 170ma, which means the battery is still almost full. So I guess it's just the way Onyx designed its charging circuit? I just have these 6 points to share, and I will add later on as I make more discoveries. |

You can find the link to the optimized Koreader APK file on the Onyx International website in this thread: http://bbs.onyx-international.com/t/...-by-onyx/157/5 You can then sideload it onto your device. Seems to be working well so far for me. |

http://bbs.onyx-international.com/t/...d-push-for/208 which for now looks undernoticed. Some applications have their controls well designed to touch-only; try web-browsing without PgUp and PgDown hardware buttons! Maybe I should feature-request Andrew from Lightining... Yes, most probably (99.6%), but given its ID card I would also bet it is legally hard to publish a patch. |
