I just ordered my Boox Note on Ereader, I will post my experience with them once my Note arrives.
I currently have Kobo Aura One (hacked version) that is a pain navigating pdf and epubs and Galaxy TabPro S that destroys my eyes (something is wrong with the Amoled screens under Windows and eye strain) |

Today I received an email from Ereader store their second Note shipment is delayed preventing them from fulfilling at least my order (not a pre-order). For the time being I'll be using my Remarkable. They told me it should arrive beginning next week. Process time also increased from 3-7 days to 7-10 days.

Glad to hear that people are successfully acquiring this ereader and that it seems to be as good as it looks.
A review from good e reader will come soon it seems: Quote:

Too early to say yet. So far, battery life seems to be okay. Obviously consumes more power when wifi is enabled. Because of that, I usually have wifi turned off on most of my devices unless I actively need it.
Haven't really used A2 much other than to test the Note's capabilities when watching a video on YouTube and to see what it was like for surfing the internet. I don't really use cloud based apps if I can avoid them so can't help you there. Quote:
However, were I taking important notes at a conference or in a lecture, I would always have a small pad of paper and pen handy in case I suddenly needed a backup. It seems to work okay, but not as well as some of the videos which I have seen of the ReMarkable. However, I also have also been a bit wary about applying too great a pressure after learning of some Max 2 users having scratched their screens. Not sure whether or not the Note's screen is more robust. Until the answer to that question is revealed, I'll tend to go easy on the pressure, but it does work. Quote:

However, after closing the book and opening it again, you can change the font size. If you then go into the split view note taking mode again, your previous notes will show up in the general vicinity as they previously were and will be the same size that you wrote them. Of course, your previous notes will not be exactly aligned with the text being shown because there will either be more or fewer lines of text on the page being shown. So, if you have drawn an arrow pointing toward a specific line in the text, it may not be pointing to the same line if you later adjust the font size for that book, but it will be nearby. Quote:
When taking notes in split view, it is possible to zoom in and out of the PDF text while still in the note taking mode something that wasn't possible while in that mode with an epub text. Last edited by Question Mark; 03-23-2018 at 05:03 PM. |

screen quality
Guys, if anyone has 5 minutes, I'd appreciate if you could upload this small article on the device, crop the view in the reader so text takes up all page, and take a crisp shot of, say, the down left corner of the second page like this (this one is not crisp though

One picture shows the file cropped with the Note's native reader, Neo Reader 2. The other picture shows it cropped with the Librera reading app. |

Could you kindly verify what is returned by
` adb shell getprop ro.product.board ` from the desktop, or ` getprop ro.product.board ` from an android terminal by the Note? We use that command to identify models in scripts (e.g. for the penultimate product it returns 'Max2'). |

Awesome, thank you very much! The screen resolution visually is noticeably better than that of Onyx 9.7" devices.

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, so I tried connecting a tablet. It recognized the tablet immediately, and I was able to use your commands on the tablet. I was actually then able to use ADB to extract an apk from a purchased app so that I could install it on my Note. Took a bit of time to figure things out, but worked without a hitch. Not sure why ADB doesn't connect to the Note. But at least it was not time wasted as I can now install my purchased apps on the Note until they sort the Play Store issue out. |

FWIW, I never got adb working for the original Max, though had no problems getting it to work on the Max 2.
You did go through the whole getting "Developer options" summoning dance as well as enabling "USB debugging" in Developer options process, right? |
